Earth vs. The Flying Saucers

God I love this movie! Ever since I was a kid - it is just cool at so many levels - these aliens rock with the coolest space ships ever. And so many great lines - keep firing gun at saucer until it crashes - man words to live by. And we get a magic ray gun working in a couple of weeks - man, where would the world be without US technology, huh? Just ask Admiral Nelson in Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea! This isn't about the Red Scare - intellectual drivel! It's about spooky aliens coming to Earth and us fighting them back, baby. Kick butt boys and girls! Don't analyse it, just enjoy it. 50's sci fi at it's Harryhausen best! The Whispering Squash

As a child, I watched all these movies on Saturday afternoons on a black-and-white television set. For me this was my Saturday at the movie theater. I have no idea which ones were in color or not, but all I know is many of those old science fiction and horror films scared and entertained me for years. This is one of my favorites, next to the original "The Day The Earth Stood Still".

Literally, flying saucers shooting rays at monuments and blowing s(^t up! What more do you want? Oh, and this film was done by Ray Harryhausen! 'nuff said. By the way, did you know that those aliens in this film weren't supposed to be in there? As it turns out, the real aliens were supposed to be worm people!

easily one of my favorite sci fi/ alien invasion movies of all time! the movie looks GREAT in color, and well worth your 15 dollars!

This is one of the great ones in the Sci-Fi genre from the 50's! For its' day it had great special effects (Ray Harrihausen...could you ask for better?). A classic storyline ("Mars Attacks!" was basically a spoof on this movie), and to top it off they colorized it; who could ask for more?
